Some great projects
Coffs Harbour Bypass
Hutchison Weller is the Independent Acoustic Advisor to the iconic Coffs Harbour Bypass project.
Covering around 14 kilometers on the western side of Coffs Harbour in NSW, this challenging project includes building three two-directional tunnels and more than 20 bridges.
As the Acoustic Advisor, we work with the contractor, Gamuda Ferrovial Joint Venture, Transport for NSW and the Department of Planning to make sure the project is built to manage the noise and vibration impacts from the project, considering practical prject needs balanced with community and Agency expectations.
Central West Orana REZ
Hutchison Weller has been assisting the ACCIONA, Cobra and Endeavour Energy (ACE) consortium with this major Renewable Energy Zone project in central western NSW since tender. The project involves construction of around 250 km of new 330kV and 500kV transmission lines and supporting energy hubs, switching stations and ancillary sites.
Western Harbour Tunnel
Hutchison Weller is providing Environmental Planning, Approval and Acoustic services to ACCIONA during delivery of the Western Harbour Tunnel - a twin tolled motorway tunnel linking the WestConnex at Rozelle to the Warringah Freeway at North Sydney. Over the course of the project, we have:
- delivered a modification to the EIS for an alternative construction method using a TBM rather than submerged tunnels;
- developed KNOWnoise™ for tunnelling (ground-borne noise) and surface works;
- designed ancillary sites including acoustic sheds and worked closely with the team on everyday environmental management.
Mulgoa Road Upgrade
Hutchison Weller is working with Seymour Whyte to deliver Stages 1 and 2 of the Mulgoad Road Upgrade Project in Western Sydney. The project involves widening the road corridor and upgrading intersections, including construction of noise walls.
Hutchison Weller has aided the project team since 2021, proving noise and vibration monitoring, construction and road traffic noise and vibration assessment, assisting in noise wall design and p[roviding KNOWnoise™ to improve construction assessment, scheduling and mitigation.
Inland Rail - Illabo to Stockinbingal
Hutchison Weller is working with John Holland on the 37 kilometer Illabo to Stockinbingal Section of the Inland Rail Project -
